Casa Cota is an architectural project located in Cota, Cundinamarca, Colombia, designed for an established family with the vision of creating a home that evolves alongside its inhabitants. This house has been conceived as a space that goes beyond its basic function, integrating into the family’s daily life, habits, and rituals. Every corner of Casa Cota is designed to foster personal growth and coexistence, adapting to changing needs over time.
The incorporation of folding doors and windows with wooden slats is an innovative technical solution that contributes to the aesthetics, ventilation, and lighting of Casa Cota. These features not only add significant aesthetic value but also allow greater interaction with the exterior environment, facilitating the entry of natural light and airflow. The use of folding wooden louvers provides efficient cross-ventilation, contributing to a healthier and more comfortable indoor environment, without sacrificing natural lighting of spaces for maximum benefit.
The presence of a spacious deck is another key element in the design of “Casa Cota”. This exterior space facilitates the transition between interior and exterior, creating an ideal area for family and social gatherings. The deck acts as a meeting point where the family can enjoy the outdoors and strengthen their relationships in a relaxed and welcoming environment. This space encourages coexistence and interaction, extending the home towards the surrounding landscape. Additionally, the meticulous interior design of Casa Cota perfectly adapts to the user’s tastes and needs, ensuring that each space is functional and aesthetically pleasing, reflecting the family’s personality and preferences.
