Located in the heart of a native páramo forest in Sopó, at more than 3,000 meters above sea level, Casa 91 is an architectural refuge that dialogues with its natural surroundings and celebrates the life of its inhabitants. Designed to adapt to the extreme climate and unique characteristics of the place, the house integrates bioclimatic strategies that guarantee thermal comfort and energy efficiency, while a home automation system elevates the daily experience of its users, providing comfort and modernity in every corner.
The design of Casa 91 is an intimate expression of the habits, rituals, and aspirations of those who inhabit it. Each space is carefully thought out to reflect the personalities and desires of its occupants, always prioritizing comfort and functionality. This attention to detail transforms the house into a home that not only protects but also inspires and accompanies its inhabitants in their daily lives.
Formally, the house consists of a single volume distributed over two floors, where an elegant central staircase not only separates communal and private spaces but stands as an architectural element of identity. More than a simple connection between levels, the staircase acts as an articulating axis that organizes circulation, gives character to the design, and contributes to the visual balance of the space.
Surrounded by a majestic natural environment, Casa 91 combines functionality, technology, and aesthetics in an architectural proposal that integrates its inhabitants with the landscape. It is a place where the forest and páramo are not only observed from the windows but are felt as a fundamental part of the living experience.
